Privacy Policy
When you complete your learner profile, we collect your school program, country, and institution name (optional) to understand our learner community. You can update these details in Profile > Edit Profile or request their deletion with your account.
Last updated: 18 October 2026. This policy explains how PharmaPlay handles information when you use our website, mobile application, and learning services.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use PharmaPlay, we may process your email address, profile details, subscription status, device registration, saved lessons, lesson progress, quiz answers, mastery scores, downloaded lesson metadata, notification preferences, and support messages. Guests may use parts of the app with progress stored locally on their device.
How we use information
We use information to provide accounts and subscriptions, resume lessons, calculate mastery, personalise study progress, support offline playback, secure accounts, deliver requested notifications, respond to support requests, and improve lesson quality and platform reliability.
Communications
Registered users may receive essential account, security, billing, or service messages. Where permitted, we may also send product news and learning updates. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe option, and communication preferences can be changed in the app.
Storage and service providers
We use trusted hosting, authentication, email, payment, analytics, and notification providers to operate PharmaPlay. Information may be processed only as needed to provide those services and is protected with appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.
Your choices and account deletion
You can update your profile and communication preferences in the app. You can request account deletion from Settings → Delete account or through our account deletion page, without needing the app. After verifying ownership, we remove your account and associated profile, learning, device and notification data from active systems. Payment and security records may be retained only where needed for legal, accounting, dispute or fraud-prevention purposes; contact support for the records and retention period applicable to your request.
Providers, AI and payments
Firebase provides authentication and profile storage. Our hosting providers store learning progress and support records. Expo and Firebase deliver push notifications using device notification tokens. Cloudinary serves learning media. If you use Pia AI tutoring, your question, recent conversation and relevant lesson context are sent to Google Gemini on its paid API service to generate a response. Google states that paid-service prompts and responses are not used to improve its products. Do not include personal, patient or confidential information. AI tutoring is for adults aged 18 and over. We retain pseudonymous AI usage counters for the current calendar month to enforce allowances; this ledger does not store chat text. Google Play processes purchases made in the Google Play version; Paystack processes supported website or direct-download purchases. PharmaPlay receives purchase identifiers and subscription status, not your full card details.
Data may be processed outside your country by these providers. We use encrypted network connections to our services. We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
Children and educational use
PharmaPlay is intended for learners able to enter into the applicable terms in their country. The service provides educational support and does not provide personal medical diagnosis or treatment.
